Castle Mountain Chalets Banff, Alberta

Category: Chalets
Reminiscent of the late 1800’s when the Gold Rush and the development of the Canadian Pacific Railway brought settlers to the Canadian Rocky Mountains, Castle Mountain continues to be a destination spot for the cargo and passenger trains responsible for its initial settlement. Several times a day the sound of heavy steel running across the track can be heard, inspiring images of the excitement the trains passengers must have felt upon reaching their new homeland. Without the train, there would be no Castle Mountain and there likely would be no Banff. Castle Mountain is located on the Bow Valley Parkway (Hwy. 1-A) at Castle Junction.

Midway between Banff and Lake Louise, in the heart of Banff National Park, you’ll find a breathtaking location and the perfect getaway resort – Castle Mountain Chalets. This nature lover’s paradise is your year-round home away from home and an ideal location for a secluded stay.

We offer 21 luxury log cabins and chalets on four acres. Décor is tasteful in each cabin and chalet with colours chosen to complement the log structures and add to your sense of relaxation.

One Bedroom Deluxe Log Chalets: Our luxurious pine cabins sleep four with a queen-sized bed in a private bedroom and two single beds.

Two Bedroom Chalets: Our largest chalets are semi-detached and offer two separate bedrooms. These chalets comfortably accommodate up to six people.

Pine Chalets: These studio style chalets with a king sized bed and pull out trundle couch, which becomes two single beds.

Cedar Chalets: Our studio-style chalets offer a queen bed and pull out trundle couch that becomes two single beds.

Summer Cottage: Only open during the summer season, this individual cottage has a double bed, kitchenette, shower in the bathroom and a gas fireplace. There are two wooden lounge chairs just outside this cabin, which face Castle Mountain, and offer the perfect location to enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail.
