North Nahanni Naturalist Lodge is located approximately 72 miles (120 km) west of the community of Fort Simpson in the Deh Cho Region of Canada's Northwest Territories.
Experience world class scenery, Dene culture and cuisine, fishing, hiking, jetboating, birding and wildlife viewing while relaxing in the comfort of our beautiful lodge.
North Nahanni Naturalist Lodge was incorporated in 1993 and opened its doors for business in December 1997. The lodge is an Aboriginal joint venture company with various private shareholders including the Liidli Kue First Nation located in Fort Simpson, NT, and the Nahanni Butte First Nation located in Nahanni Butte, NT. The lodge was completely handbuilt from local timber and is integrated into the surrounding landscape. Much of the furniture has been carved by local craftspeople using wood from the area.
