Welcome to the River Gate Inn Bed and Breakfast, a tastefully restored 18th century style mansion in the heart of Winnipeg. This stately home is set amongst spacious grounds with many mature elms and other trees. With comfortable guest rooms and many facilities on site, we offer a very pleasant home away from home for the business and pleasure traveler alike.
River Gate Inn Bed and Breakfast is situated on the Assiniboine River in the heart of the Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada on an acre of park like grounds.
The Inn is centrally located, minutes from downtown Winnipeg. Located in historic Armstrong Point on an acre along the Assiniboine River. It features some of the City's largest Elm and Cotton Wood trees which surround a large heated swimming pool for guests to enjoy.
Built in 1919, River Gate is a stately mansion and includes a parlour with fire place, library, formal dining room, sun room and billiard room. The Inn features king, queen, double and twin beds, cable television, modernized ensuites and jacuzzi tubs while still maintaining turn of the century charm. Feature breakfasts are included and can be enjoyed in the formal dining room or the sun porch, both over looking the pool and river area. Complimentary coffee/tea is available 24 hours.
Armstrong Point provides a beautiful setting for business or vacation travelers. Spend time enjoying the Inn, relaxing, jogging, cycling or walk to the historic Cornish Library.
The Cornish Library is one of two remaining Carnegie Libraries remaining in Winnipeg. 125 Carnegie Libraries were built in Canada with only 14 of them being outside of Ontario. Winnipeg has two remaining Carnegie Libraries of these 14. The Cornish Library and the St. John's Library.
